Email marketing has been around a lot longer than you may think. The first email was sent in 1971 by Ray Tomlinson and the first email marketing send was done in 1978 by Gary Thuerk, who worked for Digital Equipment Corp. The email send Gary did went out to 400 people. The email promoted the company’s computers; it resulted in $13 million in sales.

Getting ROI with email marketing

Since day one email marketing has proved its effectiveness and its ability to generate ROI. Over the past 5 years I have ran email marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C audiences, for various services and products such as: telematics, fuel cards, leasing, energy, pension reviews, digital marketing, website design, sheep skin bedding and many more.
